Raising questions on the Haj subsidy cuts, education schemes for minorities, AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi said, “Every ministry’s budget has been increased except for Minority Affairs’.”
He slams BJP Budget over cuts in Hajj subsidy, Minority student scholarships. He said the government has cheated minorities in general and Muslims in particular. Instead of increasing the budget it has reduced it.
Muslims are kept backward in a planned manner, said AIMIM chief. Owaisi lamented that the government has cut pre-matric and post-matric scholarship besides slashing loan to study abroad. He demanded to increase the Minority budget up to 6000 cr. He asked where the 400 cr rupees have gone, which were used for Hajj subsidy and were promised to be used for the education of minorities.
Mr Owaisi demanded that the government open 500 minority residential schools to eliminate educational backwardness of Muslims.
