MIM president and Lok Sabha Member from Hyderabad, Asaduddin Owaisi urged the Congress president Sonia Gandhi, not to give Union Territory status to Hyderabad.
Speaking to the media after a meeting with Sonia Gandhi this morning, Owaisi said he made his party’s stand clear saying that they will not accept Hyderabad as UT. He said he has handed over a copy of the report which he had earlier submitted to the GoM, to Sonia Gandhi.
Owaisi said he will also meet the President and the Prime Minister and request them to use their good offices in not making Hyderabad as a UT.
At Hyderabad, the APSRTC chairman M Satyanarayana Rao said that Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy has no capacity to stall the process of bifurcation of the state. Kiran is raising samaikyandhra slogan for his political benefit only, he alleged.(NSS)
