Hyderabad: Municipal Administration Principal Secretary Arvind Kumar today held a meeting with the Public Health engineers and took stock of the progress achieved in urban mission Bhagiratha, AMRUT and TMDP works. He asked the officials to fix time limits for completion of OHSRs and ensure that all them should be completed and functional by the end of September.
Arvind Kumar reviewed with the engineers about the status of the works and also enquired if there are any land related issues. He said under AMRUT an amount of Rs 1,550 crore was spent in 10 municipalities and corporations towards water supply schemes of which 85% of work was completed. Under the World Bank-funded TMDP program, works in Armoor, Manugur and Jammikunta were completed while those in Huzurabad, Kothagudem, Medak and Kollapur are in progress, he added.
Arvind Kumar also informed the officials that he would tour the towns to personally supervise the progress of the works from the first week of next month and asked them to ensure substantial progress by that time. Engineer-in-Chief Dhan Singh and other officials attended the meeting.
Later, he held a meeting with GHMC officials and reviewed the progress of the road works taken up under the Strategic Road Development Program (SRDP). Commissioner Dana Kishore, Additional Commissioners Advaith Singh, Sikta Patnaik, CEs Sridhar, Suresh Kumar and Ziauddin and LB Nagar Zonal Commissioner Srinvas Reddy attended the meeting.
