Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Arvind Kejriwal today announced that he would end his indefinite fast against inflated power and water bills on the 15th day of his protest on Saturday.
Kejriwal, who will launch his Civil Disobedience Movement tomorrow, appealed to the residents of the national capital to help his team in reconnecting the power supply to homes that are without electricity because of unpaid bills during the next stage of his movement.
A visibly weak Kejriwal, while announcing his future plans, also expressed his wish to end the fast after receiving a glass of juice from veteran social activist Anna Hazare.
He, however, said that Hazare would not be able to come to Delhi tomorrow as he was on his nationwide tour.
Kejriwal and Anna had split last September after disagreeing over whether their team should enter politics.
Kejriwal”s next course of his movement is inspired by the Father of the Nation and coincides with the anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi completing his Dandi March.
