Congress senior leader and MLA DK Aruna on Thursday urged the State Government to withdraw the proposed hike in power tariff.
Speaking to media persons here, Aruna said that the proposed hike would put an additional burden of over Rs 1,000 crore on the common people. Therefore, she demanded that the State Government withdraw the proposal and adjust the deficit to Discoms by giving subsidy. She said that the Congress party would launch a massive agitation if the government increases the power tariff. (INN)
