Information and Public Relations Minister D K Aruna on Thursday accused the leaders of the Mahbubnagar district for politicizing the Rajolibanda Diversion Scheme (RDS) to get mileage on it.
Talking to media persons at Assembly Media Point, Aruna condemned the political leaders for provoking people in villages on RDS to get political mileage on water sharing. She said that the government was taking all measures to release 2 TMC of water from the RDS by Friday evening to meet the drinking water needs of villages in Mahbubnagar district.
Reiterating that the government was committed to resolve people’s issues on top priority, she said that the political leaders were creating unnecessary controversy in the district on the RDS. She advised the leaders in the district not to create differences between the people of Kurnool and Mahbubnagar and spoil their relationship. (INN)
