Congress senior leader and former minister DK Aruna on Thursday asked Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao to give clarity on his plans to construct double bedroom houses for poor people.
Speaking to media persons at Gandhi Bhavan here, Aruna said that the State Government lacks clarity on 2BHK housing scheme. She said that the Chief Minister has announced construction of 60,000 units. She sought to know whether those units would be constructed in GHMC, Warangal or across the State.
Aruna also described the State Government’s decision to scrap cheap liquor policy as victory of Congress party. She said KCR was forced to take a U-turn on the issue due to the objections raised by the Congress party. She said this was the third time that KCR was forced to change a major policy decision. She also demanded a White Paper on the issue of farmers’ suicide. She said while KCR has been denying about suicides, Agriculture Minister Pocharam Srinivas Reddy has admitted of 409 suicides. (INN)
