Congress M.P. Mr. V. Arun Kumar insisted that a resolution must be passed in A.P. State Assembly favoring bifurcation of A.P. State. He wrote a letter to President of India and said that A.P. State is being bifurcated under Article 3 of Constitution of India without taking the consent of A.P. State Assembly. Referring to Parliament debates in 1949 by Dr. Ambedkar, Mr. Arun Kumar told that State should be consulted and the State C.M. should present a resolution in State Assembly. On the question of defeat in State Assembly, Mr. Arun Kumar said that President should get consensus of the MLAs.
