Arun Jaitley reviews IPS passing out parade

Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitely advised Indian Police Service (IPS) officers to be impartial and humane while discharging their duties. Speaking at the passing out parade after taking salute at the 68th Dikshant Parade at the Sardar Vallbhbhai Patel National Police Academy here on Friday, the Union minister urged the new IPS officers to uphold ethic and morality in the line of their duty.

The Union minister urged the IPS officers to be committed to their duty and added that humility, compassion, concern and commitment become important aspects of their personality traits.

Speaking on the occasion, SVPNPA Director Aruna M. Bahuguna asked the officers to rise to the occasion by looking beyond mechanical regulation and understand situations. She said that the trainee officers were venturing into professional life when society was facing scores of issues.

About 109 IPS probationers, including 26 women, beside 15 foreign officers passed out of the academy on Friday. (INN)
