Hyderabad, May 5: Syed Mujeeb Ullah alias Javeed resident of Alijah Kotla sculpts scenes and carves the vegetables in such a way that the onlookers remain dumbfounded after seeing them.
There is no doubt that vegetables are good for health yet Javeed makes them aesthetically good too. From tennis star Sania Mirza’s marriage to the functions of several VIPs vegetables carved by Javeed were the centre of attraction on the dinner table of guests.
Javeed carved the cut outs of big personalities like Sonia Gandhi, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, M F Husain from the vegetables.
He carved the bride and her veil with cabbage and carrot, he carved cut outs of Manmohan Singh and M F Husain with cabbage and brinjal and presented them as ‘barati’. He also carved out palanquin and shape of other ‘baratis’ with the help of vegetables.
Among his other remarkable carvings is a bouquet made out of vegetables. He used bottle-gourd, carrot, turnip for making a vase and with cabbage he made leaves and flowers and the branches were made of ladies fingers. The bouquet is unique and exemplary.
