Artisans from across India design ‘Sui Dhaaga’ logo

New Delhi: Celebrating the rich and diverse culture of India, artisans from all over the country came together to design the logo of Varun Dhawan starrer ‘Sui Dhaaga’.

By creating the logo in as many as 15 different needle art forms from India, Sui Dhaaga hopes to create awareness about India’s culture amongst today’s youth and the impact that it leaves on modern design, fabrics and fashion at large. Art forms from states like Kashmir, Punjab, Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Odisha, and Lucknow have been used for the initiative.

‘Sui -Dhaaga’ is based on the stories of self-reliance and high spirits of the two central characters, Mamta and Mauji, rooted in an earthy town of India. It is inspired by Mahatma Gandhi’s ‘Make in India’ ideology, which is being campaigned by the Government of India.

While Varun plays the role of a tailor, Anushka plays an embroiderer in the film. The love story is slated to hit the screens on September 28. (ANI)
