A day after the release of Masarat Alam from Baramulla jail, said that “Article 370 of the Indian Constitution will be scrapped, Vishwa Hindu Parishad leader Praveen Togadia said this afternoon while addressing a rally.Article 370 of the Indian constitution is a law that grants special autonomous status to Jammu and Kashmir.
“When Hyderabad and Junagarh merged in the Indian Union under similar terms of accession do not enjoy any special status then why is it available to Jammu Kashmir?” he asked.
Criticizing Chief Minister Mufti Sayeed for his praise of Pakistan and release of Hurriyat hardliner Masarat Alam, the VHP leader called for Alam’s re-arrest as he was behind the death of 112 people in the Valley resulted by stone pelting. “People of the country will catch hold of you by the ear and make you sit at home”, said Togadia warning Mufti.
