(Siasat News) Joint Action Committee of Osmania University students demanded the Govt. to arrest those who attack JAC leader at Nizam College hostel. Mr. V.B. Kamalasan Reddy met DCP Central Zone and submitted a memorandum requesting him to arrest the culprits who barged into Nizam College hostel and assaulted the students.
Mr. K. Jana Reddy, Minister for Panchayath Raj also faced the wrath of the students when he came to enquire about the health of JAC leader Mr. Balraj Goud. The students asked him where was he when the police was disrupting the peaceful atmosphere of Osmania University Campus. They also asked him why did he not reached when the Telangana supporters were attacked by Seema Andhra agitators at the time of A.P. N.G.O’s meeting at L.B. Stadium. The JAC of O.U. students criticized bitterly the attitude of Telangana Ministers and requested them to make the stand taken by the state Govt. clear to the students. They also alleged that A.P. N.G.O’s Association organized protest meeting at the instance of the C.M. They requested him to exert his pressure on the Govt. and to make sure that the culprits who attacked Telangana students are arrested.
Mr. Jana Reddy assured the students that he would talk to higher officials of police and instruct them to take stern legal action against those responsible for attacking the students. After this assurance, Mr. Jana Reddy was given safe passage. Talking to newsmen later, Mr. Jana Reddy condemned the attacks made by Seema Andhra N.G.O’s on the students.
