Kashmir: Arrest spree extended to Jama’at-e-Islami Police have arrested Jama’at-e-Islami spokesman, advocate Zahid Ali extending its arrest spree to the socio-political party. Jama’at sources told Rising Kashmir that Zahid was arrested at his Nowgam residence. He has been detained in police station Nowgam, they said. Pertinently, IG Kashmir, SJM Gilani, couple of days before claimed they have arrested around 1000 persons during the ongoing unrest however, sources said that number of arrested persons is above 1300 in the valley.
