All arrangements are in place for the smooth conduct of DSC -2012 examination to be held from August 26 to August 28 across the State at 1876 centres.
Talking to media persons at the State Secretariat here on Wednesday, Secondary Education Minister K Parthasarathy informed that a total of 4.23 lakh aspirants would appear for the test across the State.
Stating that a senior officer has been deputed at each examination centre to monitor and coordinate the conduct of test, he said that Section 144 has been imposed at examination centres to prevent any untoward incidents. He appealed to the aspirants to reach the centres at least half-an-hour before the commencement of the exam.
The candidates can download hall tickets from the website http// apdsc.cgg.gov.in by entering their names and date of birth. The government has also established special counters for those who did not receive hall tickets till now.
The Minister said that the government would fill 21,343 teachers’ posts through DSC including 6,007 school assistants and 12,772 Secondary Grade Teachers’ posts. He said that about 3.35 lakh aspirants would be competing for School Assistant and 41,716 for the Secondary Grade Teachers’ posts. (INN)
