Arrangements in place for Bonalu: Talasani

Hyderabad: Animal Husbandry Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav today said that the government is making required arrangements for the upcoming Bonalu festival at Ujjani Mahankali Temple in Secunderabad as part of festivities in the City and the State. The minister laid foundation for taking up Rs 60 lakh worth development works at General Bazar in Ramgopalpet division here.

On the occasion the minister said that the Bonalu is state festival and will be conducted on a grand scale. The Government has released Rs 15 cr for the festivities to be conducted at Old City, Golconda and Secunderabad he said. The Bonalu festival will be held next month and all related works of development will be completed in the areas on time the minister said. So far 85 per cent of the works are completed in these areas and the rest will be completed as planned. The people should not dump garbage into Nalas as that will cause pollution problem and instead use dustbins and MCH Vehicles to shift the same. I will hold a meeting with officials to address any issues near Mahankali temple in Secunderabad he added.
