All arrangements were in place for the Teachers Constituency MLC elections to be held on March 9.
The Returning officer Janardhan Reddy today said the election campaign ended by Tuesday evening. The election will be held from 8 am to 6 pm. He said 126 election polling centers were set up in eight districts. A total of 23,789 voters would exercise their franchise in the election to elect their MLC among 12 candidates in the fray.
Stating that the State government announced holiday for the schools where the election would be held on March 9, Janardhan Reddy said wine shops remained closed from March 7 evening to March 9 evening. Counting of votes will be held on March 20 at Victoria Play Ground in Hyderabad. The NOTA option was there in this election, Janardhan Reddy informed. (NSS)
