Andhra Rashtra Praja Samithi, a registered political party, has decided to contest in the next local body and Assembly elections in Telangana region.
Announcing this at a media conference here, the samithi founder president Pellakuru Surendra Reddy said that the main goal of his party was bifurcation of the state in an amicable manner. Though the state was divided, the people of Telangana and Seemandhra should live like brothers. The party was also working to safeguard the Semaandhra people who were living in the city with insecurity feeling, he added.
He claimed that both in Telangana and Seemaandhra, 99 percent of the people were in favor of bifurcation of the state. They have decided to contest in the elections forthwith in Telangana region to remove insecurity feeling in seemaandhra people who were living in the region. (NSS)
