Arogyasri scheme will continue: Dy CM

Deputy Chief Minister Dr T Rajaiah has announced that the State Government will continue the Arogyasri scheme in government hospitals.

In his written reply to a question raised by CPI MLA Ramavath Ravindra Kumar in the State Legislative Assembly on Monday, the Deputy CM informed that in Telangana, 73 government hospitals are empanelled with Arogyasri Health Care Trust and providing treatment to patients under Arogyasri. “The government is contemplating to further strengthen the government hospitals so as to increase their participation in the scheme,” he said.

With regard to the measures being taken to sanction sufficient financial assistance to the eligible patients by effectively implementing the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund, the Deputy CM said that the proposals for financial assistance are scrutinised by the Revenue Department and financial assistance sanctioned to eligible patients based on the eligibility/gravity from the CMRF.
