New Delhi, April 27: Highlighting its achievements, Indian Army today released a coffee table book on its history, environment and ethos.
Released by Army Chief General V K Singh, the book ‘Footprints?On the Sands of Time, Indian Army?s Unique Achievements’ follows ‘Milestones of the Indian Army’ released in 2009.
“The book was released today during Commander’s Conference. Compiled by Additional Directorate General of Public Information, the book has exhaustive accounts from Army’s history and its ethos. It has 200 entries from officers and jawans,” army officials said.
The army chief today also distributed medals for best essays written by officers and men on military subjects with relevance to the organisation.
The ‘Sports Trophy’ for best performance in sports and athletics was given to Southern Army Command.
