Vizianagaram, March 30: Army Recruitment Rally for Solider Technical/Nursing/General Duty/Tradesmen/Clerk will be conducted at Sir Vizzi Stadium here from April 18 to 25.
At a meeting with officials on Tuesday, Collector M. Veerabrahmaiah and Col. B.K. Singh, Director (Army Recruitment), Visakhapatnam, said that about 30,000 to 40,000 candidates from the six districts, Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam, East and West Godavari, Krishna, and Yanam (Puducherry) were expected to participate in the rally.
He asked the District Sports Development Officer to make arrangements at the stadium for the rally, tehsildars and MPDOs to give wide publicity about the recruitment in all panchayats and remote tribal villages, RWS to build makeshift toilets, and police to arrange bandobust.
Joint Collector and Additional Joint Collector would coordinate with officials and appointed SETVIZ CEO as in-charge of the process. He informed candidates not to fall prey to middlemen/agents. Col B. K. Singh said that candidates eligible for each category could participate in the rally and there was no entry fee. He said advertisement would be released in newspapers shortly. Superintendent of Police Navin Gulati, in-charge RDO Rajkumari and others were present.
