A 27-year-old Army jawan was killed on the spot while his wife and six-month-old baby boy sustained injuries when the motorcycle they were travelling on was hit by a DCM van.
The accident occurred near Pahadishareef crossroads on Sunday morning. The Army jawan, K Kranti Kumar, died instantaneously. His wife, Manjula, and son, Sushant, were rushed to the Osmania General Hospital for treatment. Kranti was a resident of Ravinder Nagar Colony of Falaknuma.
The Pahadishareef police have registered a case against the DCM driver for rash driving and took him into custody, according to Sub-Inspector Narsing Rathore. (INN)
