Army Chief visits alma mater

Ropar, December 17: Army chief General Deepak Kapoor visited his alma mater DAV Public Senior Secondary School here today and recalled memories of his student days.

General Kapoor had studied in the school 50 years ago upto class 8th and his father was a teacher in the local government college.

Appreciating contributions made by the DAV institutions in the field of education, General Kapoor said that he was feeling extremely happy to visit his alma mater.

The Chief of Army Staff also interacted with his classmates and honoured some of his teachers. He also gave away a set of books to the school.
