Kandahar, April 07: An unknown number of militants attacked a police training compound Thursday in the southern Afghan province of Kandahar, a police official said.
According to dpa, no casualties were immediately reported in the assault on the eastern outskirts of the provincial capital, also called Kandahar, said Khan Mohammad Mujahid, the provincial police chief.
Residents reported a massive blast and small-arms fire while a helicopter was also seen hovering over the area.
