Armed men rob petrol pump, cops reviewing CCTV footage

New Delhi, April 20: Three unidentified armed men in a car robbed a petrol pump and decamped with Rs 40,000 in north west Delhi early this morning, police said.

The incident took place in Sidhu Petrol Pump on GT Road in Mahendra Park at around 4 am.

The trio reached the pump in a car and asked the attendant to fill the tank, a senior police official said.

Suddenly, the barged out of the car and took the attendant at gun point, the official said, adding, they then asked the cashier to hand over the cash.

Police was informed as soon as they fled from the spot but they could not manage to catch the three. Officials, however, were examining the CCTV footage for clues as the robbery was caught on camera.

Authorities believe the car they were travelling was stolen. A case has been registered and further investigations are on.
