Mumbai, February 27: Arjun Rampal flew to Delhi on Tuesday to see his close friend, designer Rohit Bal, who suffered a heart attack on Monday.
However, Rampal was not allowed to meet him. He apparently met the family and quietly returned.
Said Arjun, “I really don’t think I should talk about Gudda (that’s what Bal’s close friends call him). It’s a very difficult moment for the family and I am with them.”

Bal’s heart attack wasn’t quite a bolt from the blue. According to close friends, Bal’s family has a history of heart diseases. His father had a heart attack when he was in his 30s.
“Rohit, who also suffers from high blood pressure, had stopped drinking completely for two months now. That’s why the heart attack was so unexpected,” said a friend from the fashion world.
Friend in need
It was the timely intervention of Bal’s friend and companion on Monday night that saved his life.
Apparently, considering the history of heart conditions in Bal’s family, his friend constantly carried an emergency heart-attack pill in his pocket, which the friend quickly popped into Gudda’s mouth when he complained of chest pain.
