Arif Majeed, who joined ISIS, to be produced in court today

The 23-year-old Kalyan youth, who left his home to allegedly join ISIS, is likley to be produced before court on Monday.

Arif Majeed, who was arrested shortly after his return to Mumbai, appeared to be “highly radicalized” and does not regret joining the ISIS.

He was sent to the National Investigation Agency (NIA) custody which is due to end today.

During interrogation, Majeed had revealed that he went to Mosul with the help of a contact on Internet.

The Kalyan youth also said that he was working as a mason in Mosul dam and was injured in an aerial attack.

He was then reportedly shifted to ISIS-held Rakka or ar-Raqqah town where he was given an AK-47 rifle. However, he was again injured due to splinter fire.

Majeed further said that he feels disheartened as he was not one of the fighters but only cleaned toilets and worked as a mason during his stay.
