New Delhi, March 23: Argument over which school to choose for their child led to the death of a man and his two kids in west Delhi while the wife survived a suicide bid, police said today.
Police have registered a case of murder against the woman for allegedly smoothering her children after the husband committed suicide and she consumed poison on March 19 in Tilak Nagar. She was placed under arrest.
Pramod (35), a Delhi Jal Board employee, and two children — Jia (2) and Jatin (7 months) died in the incident while Sonali (33) survived the suicide bid.
According to the statement she gave Sub-Divisional Magistrate, the couple had an argument over which school to choose for their child. While Sonali wanted to get an admission for their child in a private school, Pramod said it was not feasible because of their financial condition.
On this, there was a big argument.
