Andhra Pradesh Youth Congress State president Ch Vamshi Chand Reddy on Friday launched a 24-hour helpline for the assistance of North Eastern community members in the city.
Talking to media persons at Gandhi Bhavan after launching the round-the-clock helpline, Vamshi Reddy stated that the community members can contact over 9000999662 for any help in this regard. He said that the Youth Congress members would immediately attend to the calls and provide required assistance if the Assam students receive any threatening calls or emails from anybody.
Vamshi Reddy said that the youth wing would take up problems of Assam members with the government and would try to resolve them as soon as possible. Naresh kumar is the in-charge of the helpline.
The APYC leaders have appealed to the NE community members not to believe false rumours of attacks on them. (INN)
