APSRTC officials have decided to ply 50-60 more buses for women IT professional working in Hitech City. This has created some kind of fear among the private bus drivers and Taxi cabs. On account of increasing molestation incidents of women IT professionals, RTC officials contracted IT companies to offer more buses facilities. APSRTC and Cyberabad Police conducted a survey recently to assess the number of commuters travelling in taxi cab. It was revealed in the survey that between 8 a.m. and 11 a.m. nearly 12000 IT employees used 4200 taxi cabs and Autorichshaws to reach their offices. RTC officials opine that more than 40 thousand IT employees use Taxis and Autos every day. RTC officials have also offered to provide air-conditioned bus service and to establish more bus depots. They have also requested A.P. Industrial Infrastructure Corporation to provide 3 acres of land at 5 places. Bus services will be provided from Mehdipatnam, Gachibowli, IIIT to Wipro route and the other route will be from Lingampally to Wipro .
