Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation will start its operations from Vijayawada from May 15.
Speaking to media persons here on Sunday, APSRTC Managing Director Sambasiva Rao said that despite bifurcation of State, the APSRTC was operating from Hyderabad as its headquarters. However, from May 15 onwards, the corporation would be headquartered at Vijayawada.
He also informed that 64 bus stations across AP would be modernised in the next 30 days at a cost of Rs. 26 crore. He said nearly 2,000 new buses would be operated by the end of this year. He said compared to last year, the losses of APSRTC have come down by nearly Rs. 120 crore. (INN)
