APSP gives Jayachandra a hearty farewell

Hyderabad, January 01: Andhra Pradesh Special Police Battalion Director General of Police S K Jayachandra on Saturday lauded the professional skills of the battalion while recalling his stint with the unit as the commandant.

Addressing the gathering as part of farewell parade organised by First Battalion to mark his retirement from service at APSP headquarters in Yousufguda, Jayachandra said that the APSP Battalion has got recognition at national level in New Delhi for handling various critical situations in an efficient manner.

The services of special police were greatly needed for the regular police to execute the tough jobs, he said and recalled the services of the battalion during the floods and natural disasters.

He went nostalgic about his experiences during his two-and-half-year tenure and how he handled the tough situations ably and efficiently.

APSP Battalion at Visakhapatnam has been given special training in efficient handling the floods and cyclones, he said and thanked the all staff for their cooperation in discharging his duties efficiently. (INN)
