APSET tomorrow after a gap of 13 years

(Siasat News)APSET (Andhra Pradesh State Eligibility Test) is going to be held on Friday after a gap of 13 years, last time it was held in 1998.

Since then APSET is not conducted, applicant are used to write NET (National Eligibility Test) which is held twice a year but on an average only 10,000 used to appear it with less than five percent clearing it.

1,17,793 applied for the APSET test, which is teachers eligibility test, this is being conducted by Osmania University after securing accreditation from UGC for 24 subjects.

APSET is mandatory for the appointment of faculty in University and Degree Colleges.

Prof. Satyanarayana, Vice Chancellor of OU and chairman of APSET, said that the test will be conducted in two sessions from 9.30 am to 12 noon and from 1.30 pm to 4 pm -and will feature three papers.

“Candidates will not be let in if even they are late by a minute,“ he said.
