Not with standing the prohibitory orders in force around the assembly, Andhra Pradesh Rythu Sangam (APRS) today announced that it would go ahead with the proposed ‘Chalo Assembly ‘on farmers issues on March 12. The decision was taken in a roundable meeting organised by APRS. Later, talking to the newspersons, Sangam President Mr.Subba Rao and Secretary Rama Rao, demanded the government to announce a compensation of Rs 10,000 per acre to famrers, whose crops were badly affected due to drought. They also demanded the government must supply uniterrupted 7-hour free power to farmers as announced in its election manifesto by the Congress.
