Hyderabad: Dr. B. Janardhan Reddy, Secretary, Dept. of Higher Education issued orders constituting Search Committees for suggesting the names of suitable persons as Vice Chancellors in nine Telangana Universities. They are:

It may be mentioned that Govt. of Telangana nominated Mr. Mr. Somesh Kumar, IAS, Special Chief Secretary, Dept. of Revenue as its representative.
He will convene the meetings of the Search Committees soon. These committees will suggest a panel of three names to the Chief Minister for appointment as Vice Chancellors.
The CM will recommend one name out of this panel to the Governor of TS who is also the Chancellor of these state universities.
The expenses of travel and daily allowance of the members of these Search Committees will be borne by the funds of the respective universities.
It may be noted that the newly appointed Governor of TS, Ms. T Sounderarajan who is also a Chancellor of these state universities has also convened a meeting today to consider this issue.
