Appoint 300 AEs for project works: KTR

Municipal Minister KT Rama Rao today stated that they will appoint 300 engineers for providing better road connectivity and infrastructure in twin cities by this month end and coordinate with existing 480 engineers. The minister directed that Municipal Commissioner Janardhan Reddy to appoint 300 Engineers and get them training from National Academy of Construction (NAC) to complete the works of the rods in twin cities. An estimated cost of Rs 20000 cr will be spent for all these works in the twin cities which will turn the pearl city of Hyderabad into a global destination with world class roads and infrastructure.

Skyways, double bedroom houses and Musi river front development works on priority basis. This will boost the GHMC to speed up its plan to complete the tasks of various works on time such as road works, Musi development works and development works in 150 divisions. Each division will get one AE for dedicated completion of the works with quality and speed up with transparency he said. The flagship double bedroom works are going on in 110 places in the city and AEs need to monitor them for quality and coordination. The minister asked the officials to offer civil engineering training to the newly appointed engineers for smooth execution of the works.

We plan to show the people in one year significant changes in the cities by completing the works of these projects the minister said. There is no compromise on the quality of works as the engineering staff and officials maintain transparency and active coordination, he said. 

The officials are preparing guidelines for appointing 300 AE posts. (NSS)
