A lawsuit filed against Cupertino-based Tech Giant Apple Inc. accused the two-factor authentication process of being disruptive to users, time-consuming and even abusive since it cannot be reversed after 14 days.
According to the Apple Insider, Jay Brodsky in California who filed the suit alleged that Apple did not get user consent to enable two-factor authentication. He also said that Apple was violating California’s Invasion of Privacy Act.
The Two-factor authentication from Apple is an extra layer of security designed to secure your data and make sure that you are the only person who can access your account, even if someone knows your password.
“Apple’s two-factor authentication imposes an irrelevant logging-in procedure that requires a user to both remember the password and have access to a trusted device or phone number,” mentions Brodsky’s suit.
Earlier, some popular iOS applications on the iPhone were reported to be recording the screen without asking for users permission or notifying about it.
