Apple set to unveil latest iPads

Apple is reportedly set to unveil its latest range of iPads in the coming week, which are touted to be lighter and thinner in design and have better processors.

The latest iPads are set to go for sales on October 22, against Amazon’s Kindle Fire tablets and other gadgets made by Samsung.

According to news.com.au, supply chain sources said that Apple may run into a shortage of the ‘retina’ displays for the iPad mini, which could in turn limit supply of the gadget during the crucial season.

The tech giant recently unveiled its latest range of iPhones, including a low-cost version of its flagship product, and the complaints about the shortage of units was experienced within the week of their release.

The report said that Amazon’s new 7-inch Kindle Fire is priced from 229 dollars for 16GB wifi-only models, while Google Inc’s second-generation Nexus 7 offers a similar screen size and storage capacity at the same price, while Apple’s current iPad Mini at its cheapest is priced at 329 dollars. (ANI)
