Apple launches its flagship phone on Wednesday at “Hey Siri” event. The ninth generation iPhone 6s and 6s plus. It will come in silver, space grey, gold, and the new Rose Gold and will be available for pre-order from Saturday 12 September.
The new iPhone features a new display technology called 3D Touch, a derivative of the Force Touch technology used in Apple Watch. This new technology adds new functionalities to iPhone. The 3D Touch will be able to differentiate between types of touches and taps in preloaded apps as well as on the home screen.
Like its predecessor the iPhone 6s Plus has a 5.5in screen. The material is designed to be more durable. Multitasking will also benefit from 3D Touch. Just press on the screen and swipe to scroll through the apps you’ve got open, rather than double clicking the Home button.
The new iPhone 6S Plus, like it’s sibling to iPhone 6s, the new 64-bit A9 chipset that is 70% faster at carrying out processes than the one seen in last year’s iPhones. Similarly, the graphics processing will be 90% aided by a new graphics processor.
The new iPhones get 12MP cameras.
that can take panorama pictures going up to 63MP. The rear camera has also got 4K recording to capture high-resolution videos, a feature that has been available on iPhones since last year.It is available in 16GB, 64GB and 128GB configurations.
