(Siasat News) Emir of Jamia Nizamia, Maulana Syed Shah Akbar Nizamuddin Saber issued an appeal to the Muslim community to contribute he said that Jamia Nizamia has been serving the community for the past 141 years.
Every year, there is an increase in the expenses due to price rise. The institution offers Islamic education with residential facilities without charging any fees from the students.
Darul-Ifta Department issues Islamic decrees as per Shariath on various issues concerning Muslim Ummah. The decrees issued by Jamia Nizamia are recognized by courts.
A separate building was constructed for Darul-Ifta. The institution has no reserve fund. The bills of salaries of staff, boarding and lodging expenses of the students alone account for Rs. 7 lakh.
The accounts of the institution are audited by M/s Mohiuddin & Co. Chartered Accountants.
Income tax Department has exempted the donations given to this institution from income tax. Govt. of India has also permitted this institution to receive foreign remittances.
The management committee of the institution consists of Islamic scholars and intellectuals of the community.
