Apologize to Muslims, Rahman tells Sujana Chowdhary

The YSR Congress party Minority Cell Convenor Habbeeb Abdul Rahman has demanded an unconditional apology from TDP leader YS Chowdhary for his remarks of on power supply to Muslims during Ramzan festival.

“YS Chowdhary of Sujana Group of Industries has stated on August 22 that industries have suffered due to the extra supply of power to Muslims during Ramzan festival. This is a very uncharitable remark for which he and his Party should apologize within in a week,“ Rahman told reporters here on Saturday. Ramzan is observed by Muslims all over the world and it is a month of fasting and prayers. If YS Chowdhary, the Rajya Sabha member, speaks in such a tone, Muslims will not tolerate and he will face dire consequences if our demand is not met within the deadline, he said.

During holy month of Ramzan, we pray for the well being of all the deprived classes of the society and Chowdhary’s statement is in tune with the TDP policies which has sided with BJP and supported the NDA government at the Centre, he said.

It was YSR who had given 4 per cent reservation to minorities and launched many welfare schemes for the benefit of BCs, SCs, STs, women, students and farmers, he said adding that the Chief Minister, N Kiran Kumar Reddy is busy shuttling between Delhi and State capital and has no time to think of people’s problems.
