The Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) has convened a meeting here tomorrow to discuss party’s course of action over the issue of special status for Andhra Pradesh.
“The Congress has already conducted a mass programme by collecting one crore signatures in the state demanding the special status as accorded in the AP Re-organisation Act,” APCC general secretary Sudhakar Babu told reporters today.
The party will also discuss the “failure” of both the state and the Center on curbing the increasing prices of essential commodities, he said.
According to him, the state government failed to supply irrigation water to the most fertile lands in Krishna, Guntur and West Godavari districts in the present Kharif season through Krishna river. “This issue will also be discussed,” he said.
