Hyderabad, June 22: The Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) today issued a showcause notice to MLC K Premsagar Rao for his role in clashes and stone pelting between district workers and leaders during the review meeting of Adilabad District Congress Committee on June 19.
The notice, a copy of which was released to the press here, said ”this is undemocratic, unwarranted and completely against our party discipline and constitution.” Mr Rao was directed to submit his explanation in person and writing within seven days from the date of receipt of the showcause notice, based on which appropriate disciplinary action would be initiated.
In a separate letter to Adilabad District Congress Committee President C Ramachandra Reddy, the APCC directed him to take immediate disciplinary action against party workers and leaders responsible for the unruly behaviour and submit a report with details of action taken against them
