Hyderabad, January 05: Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee president D Srinivas today appointed an APCC study group comprising 10 members from the three regions (Telangana, Andhra and Rayalaseema) in the state to delve into the Krishna water sharing dispute.
APCC Kisan Cell chairman M Kodanda Reddy will be the coordinator of the study group with the following members: MLAs N Uttam Kumar Reddy, Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, Gade Venkat Reddy, MLC Rayapati Srinivas, former ministers G Chinna Reddy, M Buddha Prasad, former MP G Pratap Reddy, exMLA R Ramaiah and former ZP chairman Pinnamaneni Koteswara Rao.
The group will take advice from panchayat raj minister K Jana Reddy, MP Kanumuri Bapi Raju and former APCC chief P Narsa Reddy on the issue before formulating their report.
The members will also take technical and engineering support from retired irrigation chief engineers and other experts. They will go into the details right from the Bachavat Award till the latest Brijesh Kumar Tribunal award. The APCC president has instructed the coordinator to convene the first meeting of the study group at the earliest.
