APCC president N Raghuveera Reddy today accused Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu of miserably failing to keep his manifesto promises.
Talking to mediapersons after a review meeting with the party leaders on strengthening the Congress in North Andhra region, Raghuveera Reddy alleged that Naidu just hiked the age limit for retirement and nothing else. The Congress will not keep quiet if the TDP Government scraps welfare schemes launched by the Congress.
“We will take on the government if it attempts to set aside their welfare schemes and developmental programs”, he said. The Congress, he said, will mount pressure on the government for comprehensive development of the State. He also accused the Centre of adopting double standards with regard to Polavaram project. However, Raghuveera declined to comment on crop loan waiver decision announced by Chandrababu Naidu.
Those attended the party meeting include former APCC chief Botcha Satyanarayana, MP KVP Ramachandra Rao and others.-
