In view of exorbitant rise in the prices of Toor Dal across the country, the Telangana and Andhra Pradesh Governments have decided to sell the Toor Dal at subsidised rates.
While Telangana will sell the Toor Dal for Rs. 135 per kg in all Rythu Bazars from Saturday onwards, AP Government will sell it for Rs. 143 per kg. Finance and Civil Supplies Minister Etala Rajender on Friday convince the millers to sell the Grade I Toor Dal at Rs. 135 per kg, instead of Rs. 160. Special counters will be set up in all Rythu Bazars in the municipalities and mandal headquarters to sell the Toor Dal. Etala will inaugurate the special counter at Erragadda Rythu Bazar on Saturday.
Meanwhile, AP’s Civil Supplies Minister P Sunitha inaugurated the special counter for Toor Dal in Anantapur on Friday. (INN)
