AP, Telangana Guv lauds development work done by states

Hyderabad : Andhra Pradesh and Telangana governor Narasimhan on Republic Day recounted the work of the state governments and said that they are doing every bit to help their states develop.

Speaking at the occasion of 69th Republic Day, Narasimhan said, “My government is implementing a record of programs and schemes for the welfare of the poor, for the development of agriculture, for the development of rural economy, for infrastructure development, for industrial growth and so on. My government is spending an estimation of 40,000 crores annually to help the poor,” he added.

Expressing happiness, he said that Telangana is moving forward everyday and becoming a role model for other states in the country.

“The state has achieved tremendous results. At the time of the states formation the capital power generation was 6574 mega watts, today 14,844 mega watts is available in the state. Power plants are been constructed to achieve the 28000 mega watts of power generation and make the state power surplus,” he added.

The governor also hoisted the tricolor flag in parade ground on the occasion and remembered the great leaders.

“We are celebrating this day on the remembrance of the great leaders who made the constitution and brought republic for the Indians,” he said.

Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao received the governer and greeted him on the account of Republic Day. (ANI)
