Government mulls over the formation of a 3-member Adhoc Committee after the completion of term of State Waqf Board. According to reliable sources special secretary Syed Omer Jaleel sent the file with recommendation of appointment of a special officer on December 15. This file will be sent to chief minister Kiran Kumar Reddy through minority welfare minister Mohammed Ahmedullah.
It is said that the name of Shaikh Mohammed Iqbal IPS, who has already taken charge of commissioner minority welfare, has been recommended for the post of special officer. If the government gives approval to his name then he will hold the additional charge of special officer Waqf Board. Minority Welfare Minister is said to be mulling over the formation of 3-member adhoc committee instead of appointment of special officer.
Chief minister Kiran Kumar Reddy will take final decision regarding this.
