On Friday, the Telangana CM KC Rao said that the state government had every right to fix the criteria regarding who was a native of Telangana and who was not.
He restated that the state would not pay fees of students from AP or other states.
KCR also cited Supreme Court and High Court directions issued earlier in this regard.
If the Telangana government reimbursed the fees of AP students,the students from other states like Maharashtra, who are studying here, would also make similar demands and legal issues might crop up said, Mr Rao.
