Andhra Pradesh Government has plans to increase the production of sand to one lakh cubic meters per day by operationalasing all the 32 new sand reaches in the State.
Chief Secretary IYR Krishna Rao, who reviewed the implantation of the new sand policy on Monday at the Secretariat, directed the SERP Director to increase daily sand mining to 1.00 Lakh cubic meters by identifying 32 new sand reaches in the next 15 days. He also held discussions with representatives of Andhra Bank and SBI to involve the Banks for operating pay for collection of payments through Mee Seva Counters from sand buyers.
Principal Secretary (Industries) JSV Prasad, SERP CEO H Arunkumar, Mines Director Susheel Kumar and other officials attended the review meeting. (INN)
